Yuck!

I was waiting so long for Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs' new covers CD to come out, and all I can say is Yuck! They have ruined my favorite song of all time, "Alone Again Or" by Love. Oh, Matthew, couldn't you have stuck with the Pixies covers?

The UFO one is okay, pretty close to the original Mariachi music. Do yourself a favor, stick with The Damned. You can't go wrong with that cover.

Best new video

The best video since the "Kim The Waitress" tribute to "Delicatessen" is the new video from 30 Seconds to Mars. It was so close to "The Shining" (not sure if they were going for the original movie or that rather bad TV version that had the official Stephen King stamp of approval) that it was literally scary! I loved the skateboard version of the big wheel scenes. Amazing.

I wasn't sure if Jared Leto was actually in the band or not, but he is, and he was just great!
